In April of 2002, Mr. Ferrara founded Opus Bono Sacerdotii with two other businessmen and a Catholic priest in Detroit, Michigan. Since that time Mr. Ferrara has worked directly with thousands of priests who have contacted Opus Bono Sacerdotii for assistance.
Prior to founding Opus Bono Sacerdotii, Mr. Ferrara, a CPA with an MBA, started his professional career in the public accounting field before founding Opus Bono Corporation in 1992. For over a decade, Opus Bono Corporation provided sophisticated financial reporting systems for large corporate concerns. Working directly with the chief financial officers of Fortune 100 corporations including General Motors, Ford Motor Company and Chrysler, Mr. Ferrara designed and implemented numerous large scale computer systems that consolidated financial information for profitability analysis and solutions.
In 2002, Mr. Ferrara cofound Opus Bono Sacerdotii in order to care for priests experiencing difficulties in their personal lives and priestly ministry.
As an experienced problem solver, Mr. Ferrara is uniquely qualified to provide life-giving support to priests in dire need. In addition, as cofounder and treasurer of Opus Bono Sacerdotii, Mr. Ferrara uses his financial experience and technical skills to manage the day to day operations of the extraordinary mission of the Work for the Good of the Priesthood.
Mr. Ferrara is active with his family and friends. He is an avid marathon runner and actively maintains his black belt in karate. His hobbies include bee keeping and he produces maple syrup at his home in rural Michigan.
