At ordination, an indelible mark is placed on the soul of a priest. He is a priest forever. No earthly power can take way what was given to him at ordination. Even if he is removed from the clerical state — or "laicizied" — he still remains a priest in the eyes of God. This means that, some day, he will go to heaven or to hell as a priest for all eternity.
Our mission is to help priests in crisis make it to heaven. Too often, the world rejects them, the Church shuns them, and they are left to wander alone in spiritual darkness. We choose to forgive them their trespasses and to love them in their brokenness as Jesus does with us. In doing so, we honor the mercy Jesus has showed us through His priests during sacrament of confession.
We firmly believe that priests in crisis need fraternity and spiritual renewal. At Our Lady of Priests Retreat Center, we offer small group retreats to help them rediscover and renew their spiritual priesthood.
If you are a priest in crisis, we welcome you to join us for a retreat. Come and discern how our Father is calling you to reclaim and live your spiritual life as a priest.
